Sunday Meetings and Weekly Activities

Whether you’re new to the area or have lived here a long time, we’d love to welcome you to one of our Sunday gatherings.
The church meets every Sunday at 10.30am and 6.30pm (*except see below). Our building is located on Parr Street (LA9 7DH)

What to expect

Each service runs for about 60–75 minutes and is informal in style. At the heart of each service is a reading and sermon from the Bible, and there is also a mixture of hymns and contemporary songs, prayers and news, sharing of the Lord’s Supper (Communion) and occasionally baptisms.
Refreshments are served following Morning Church and on arrival at Evening Church.

What’s On This Week

As we can’t all be together in person, we are recording our Sunday services for you to watch at home.
We hope these will be an encouragement to you that as brothers and sisters in Christ we can still hear from God’s word, sing and pray together even though we are apart.
Before we begin you may want to make sure you have your Bible, that you have adequate sound so that you can hear the speaking and the songs and get yourself comfortable! The services are on YouTube, in the form of a playlist in which several videos run automatically from one to the next. There may be adverts in between the videos but you can press skip on these because they are instigated by YouTube. Here’s a link to the YouTube playlists (which are also accessible via the Resources menu above):

During the service, we have groups for children at church for ages 4-11.
Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we sing together. The leader will make it clear where and when children need to go to their groups. We also provide a supervised creche for children aged 1-3.

Parr Street Evangelical Church is affiliated to the Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service which provides material and advice on every aspect of child safety from regular church events to cyber-bullying. With CCPAS’s guidance and help we have an effective and necessary policy in place, in accordance with good practice.
